About

My name is Maria, and I created Mira Learning out of a deep love for both science and classical education.

As a homeschool mom of five boys with a background in biomechanics and biomedical engineering, I often found myself searching for science resources that held onto the beauty and wonder of Charlotte Mason and classical methods, while also helping students gradually develop the skills and understanding needed for higher-level science.

Many homeschooling parents recognize that science and technology are advancing rapidly, and while we may not know exactly what the future will look like for our children, we do know they will need the ability to think carefully, reason logically, ask good questions, and approach the world with curiosity and discernment. I believe science education should help cultivate those habits of thought from an early age.

Too often, science education seems divided into two extremes: either light and engaging activities with little depth, or rigorous textbooks that lose the sense of wonder entirely. Mira Learning was created to help bridge that gap.

At Mira Learning, science is taught through the stories of discovery. Students encounter the scientists behind the ideas, explore the questions that shaped scientific understanding, and learn how observation, experimentation, and logical reasoning helped uncover the laws that govern the world around us.

The goal is not simply to prepare students for tests, but to help them become thoughtful learners who are capable of engaging deeply with the natural world.

Whether you are just beginning your homeschool science journey or looking to add more depth and structure to your existing curriculum, I hope these resources help your family discover the beauty, order, and excitement of scientific discovery together.

I’m so glad you’re here.

Warmly,
Maria
